According to report in Expansion, Hidroelectrica del
Cantabrico is expected to buy the 40% stake held by CajaMadrid and Corp Mapfre
in its renewables energy unit, Sinae. There are no plans to float Sinae, which
reported losses in 2001 of €6m. Should Hidrocantabrico purchase the stake, its
holding in the unit would increase to 100%.
