Spain's Gamesa has bought 100% of German wind park operator EBV Management Holding for Eur4.85-mil, the Spanish ompany said Tuesday. The Oldenburg-based company has a wind generation park of some 600MW. "Gamesa has taken an important step towards guaranteeing its presence in the German market," the company said in a statement to Spain's stock market regulator CNMV, adding that the deal, signed Tuesday, would help its turbine manufacturing business Gamesa Eolica boost sales in Germany. "It will also act as a platform for Gamesa Energia to move into the countries of northern Europe," Gamesa said. EBV was founded in 1994 and has put 142.5MW of wind capacity into service in Germany so far. EBV's own wind portfolio projects amount to 600MW, while it holds a 33% of Wind 100, a joint venture with Deutsche Bank.
